After this, leave the cloth on flat surface to dry. In order to use the cloth covered in beeswax, using aluminium foil warm it up in an oven up to 140 F. Put the cloth on the part of the body that needs healing and let it rest overnight. Strengthen it up with a scarf or different piece of material. You can use the same beeswax

cloth many times.

Beeswax is an amazing treatment for the skin

Unlike other products, beeswax will not clog your pores and acne or cause irritation on your skin. It will moreover give you great protection from the bacteria that surrounds you. It furthermore enhances the elasticity of the skin.

In order to make a nice beeswax cold cream at home, you will need 5 parts of beeswax and 3 parts of coconut oil. Melt them separately over a simmering pot of hot water. Do this until both of them reach 158 F, and then mix fully. In the end, place the pot into cold water and do not stop to stir. When it is cooled, place the cream into the container that you want to keep it in. The cream will melt in your hands as you massage it over your face, but will still feel solid.

, honey and olive oil.

Also, beeswax has many practical uses, that makes it convenient to have some around the house. Here are some of them:

Beeswax candles

You can make your own beeswax candles, or you can buy them. Either way, they are so much better than regular candles. They have a brighter and bigger flame, they give less smoke, and have a longer-lasting flame.

Beeswax prevents the appearance of rust

Cover shovels and hand tools with beeswax in order to prevent the appearance of rust. You can also treat the wooden handles of these tools to protect them to lose their quality.

Using beeswax for waterproofing and as a conditioner for leather

You can say goodbye to all of your problems with your leather bags, boots, or any other kind of leather products. All you need to do is to rub the beeswax into the leather, using a clean and dry cloth. After this, let them dry and polish them to get more shine if you like.

In order to use beeswax to prevent the appearance of rust and for waterproofing and conditioning of leather, we recommend the following recipe for making your own beeswax compound.

Firstly, cut the beeswax into small pieces and melt it on a low temperature. Then, add to the melted wax an equal part of turpentine with half a part of boiled linseed oil. After mixing it, let it cool and get creamy. Another interesting thing to do is not to add turpentine and mix equal parts of melted wax and pharmaceutical grade mineral oil. Doing so, you will get a non-toxic finish for wood.

Please note: Turpentine is an ignitable product and can result in a fire, so be aware not to add it or mix it over a flame!

Beeswax can help you with the sewing

If you have a problem with your sewing you can move the sewing thread against a beeswax block. This will help you get your sewing thread to slide more easily through the material. Another benefit is that the longer threads wouldn’t tangle anymore.
