Natural Honey Export by Country

The global sales from natural honey export was a total of US $2.2 billion in 2018. The value of natural hone export decreased by an average of 5.7% for all exporting countries since 2014. This is when the value of natural honey shipments was at $2.4 billion.

European countries accounted the highest dollar value worth of natural honey exports among all continents. Their shipments were $876.1 million in 2018, or this is 39.2% of total international honey sales.

Furthermore, 23% of natural honey export belongs to Asian exporters, 15.5% to Latin America (excluding Mexico and including the Caribbean) and 12.4% to Oceania (mostly New Zealand trailed by Australia). Smaller percentages have shippers in North America – 9.1%, and Africa – 0.6%.
