McDonald’s Opened World’s Smallest “Restaurant” For Bees! Take a Look At The “McHive”

McDonald’s has just opened a mini version of its restaurants, the “McHive”. This is definitely “the world’s smallest McDonald’s”, as they called it. It is a fully functioning beehive that looks exactly like the iconic McDonald’s restaurant. Their goal is to attract thousands of “important guests” every day.

The “McHive” has a drive-thru window, tables and everything that properly goes with a real restaurant.  The most interesting and important thing is that this is actually a fully functioning beehive.

The creative agency who oversaw the project wrote:

“Some of McDonald’s restaurants in Sweden have beehives on their rooftops. The initiative started out locally but is now growing. More franchisees around the country are joining the cause and have also started replacing the grass around their restaurants with flowers and plants that are important for the wellbeing of wild bees. To celebrate the initiative which is part of McDonald’s Swedens sustainability work, we created what could be the world’s smallest McDonald’s – a fully functioning beehive.”
